Research Areas

Marine Structural Research: Nearshore Floating City Design and Multi-Hazard Coupling Defense Systems

Addresses challenges posed by rising sea levels and extreme weather through the development of modular floating city structures that integrate tidal energy generation, seawater desalination, and ecological restoration functions to create self-sustaining marine habitation systems. Investigates structural dynamic responses under coupled typhoon-tsunami-earthquake hazards, designs impact-resistant solutions using biomimetic principles and smart materials, and validates structural reliability via numerical simulations and physical model testing. Assesses the ecological impacts of large-scale marine engineering projects and proposes synergistic optimization strategies for "blue infrastructure" and biodiversity conservation to advance sustainable utilization of marine spatial resources.

Agricultural Economics Research: Cross-disciplinary Study on Global Food System Resilience Building and Digital Agriculture Transformation

Investigates the impact mechanisms of climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and supply chain disruptions on global food systems. Analyzes the role of digital technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI-driven precision agriculture, remote sensing monitoring) in enhancing agricultural productivity, reducing resource waste, and optimizing supply chain transparency. Explores pathways for integrating smallholder farming systems in developing countries into global markets, evaluates the effects of agricultural subsidy policies and carbon footprint certification systems on food trade equity and sustainability, and develops novel agricultural economic models that balance food security, ecological conservation, and economic inclusivity.
