News | Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NASS) Participates in the Launch of the SINO (China) Preprint Platform

During the 4th World Frontier Science and Technology Conference (WFSTC)—one of the core thematic forums of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS)—the Symposium on Building a New Academic Ecosystem in the New Era, initiated by the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST), was successfully held at the Golden Globe International Conference Center in Beijing. As a key force in academic publishing, Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NASS) actively participated in the symposium’s organization and discussions. At the event, NASS, together with several editors-in-chief, editorial board members, and renowned professors from China and abroad, explored pathways for building a modern academic publishing and research ecosystem, and jointly launched the SINO (China) Preprint platform.
The symposium centered on “Building an Open, Transparent, and Sustainable Academic Ecosystem,” focusing on academic sharing and community-building. Experts and scholars from multiple research institutes and publishing organizations joined the discussions. Editors-in-chief, editorial board members, and professors shared insights on research integrity, support for early-career scholars, international dissemination, and journal quality enhancement, offering constructive perspectives and practical recommendations. Representatives from NASS also presented how high-level journal platforms can provide broader channels for disseminating scientific achievements.

The symposium drew several thousand participants both online and offline and facilitated the release of multiple high-quality papers. NASS highlighted its flagship journal, Research in World Agricultural Economics, which focuses on agricultural economics and related fields. The journal publishes cutting-edge research spanning agricultural economics, marketing, agribusiness management, productivity and innovation, agricultural trade and circulation, agricultural resources and environment, and international agricultural policy and development. It is rapidly becoming an important international platform for scholarship in this domain. The symposium further enhanced recognition of the journal’s value and positioning, strengthening its academic influence and international visibility.
