Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NASS) to Participate in the 2025 World Frontier
Science and Technology Conference
To further deepen international cooperation in science and technology and explore pathways for global collaborative innovation, the 4th World Frontier Science and Technology Conference (WFSTC), jointly organized by the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST) and the China High-Tech Industrial Development Promotion Association, will be held in Beijing from September 13 to 14. As an integral part of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), this conference carries the mission of advancing global collaboration in frontier science and technology and accelerating the transformation of scientific achievements. With the theme “Converging Frontier Technologies, Building Global Innovation Together,” the WFSTC will feature a series of high-level events designed to create an international platform for cooperation.
Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NASS) has been invited by the International Academic Exchange Committee of CIAPST to participate in this prestigious event. This year’s conference is particularly significant as it marks the first major international gathering since CIAPST was granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
According to the organizers, the WFSTC will host an opening ceremony, high-level dialogues with academicians and experts, an exhibition of frontier scientific achievements, international project matchmaking sessions, and presentations of outstanding academic results. Special topics will focus on multiple cutting-edge areas, including green technologies and sustainable development, regional economic growth and integration, and initiatives supporting China’s “dual carbon” goals through the application of green technologies. In addition, the conference will include a global call for papers, with selected outstanding works to be published in the official conference proceedings and partner journals.
NASS will participate in several parallel forums related to academic publishing and knowledge dissemination. The Academy will share its achievements in open access publishing, multilingual scholarly communication, the launch of the SINO (China) Preprint platform, and innovations in digital academic publishing. Leveraging this international platform, NASS aims to strengthen cooperation with global research institutions, academic organizations, and publishing peers, broaden channels for academic exchange, and promote wider and more efficient sharing of research outcomes across disciplines and cultures.
The WFSTC will provide a platform for global researchers and innovative entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and collaborate, jointly seizing the opportunities of frontier science and technology to inject powerful momentum into building a shared future for humanity.
