Academician Kuang Tingyun:
Kuang Tingyun, plant physiologist, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, researcher and PhD tutor of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In 1956, Kuang graduated from Beijing Agricultural University; In 1962, she returned to China to work in the Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of Sciences after obtaining the associate doctor's degree from Moscow University of the former Soviet Union, successively served as assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher; In 1981, as a senior visiting scholar,she went to work in the plant laboratory of Michigan State University in the United States; In 1995, she was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences;From 1998 to 2003, she served as the 12th president of the Chinese Botanical Society.In 2000, she served as the deputy director of the Biology Department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; In 2002, she was appointed as the distinguished professor and PhD tutor of the Biology Department of Capital Normal University; in 2008, she was employed as the dean of the department of Life and Environmental Science of Hangzhou Normal University.
Kuang Tingyun has been engaged in the research of photosynthetic membrane for a long time.
