Research Advisor Responsibilities
Upon the signed agreement between the Research Advisor and Nan Yang Academy of Sciences (NAS), the Research Advisor shall support the research projects of NAS in order to expand on the research findings.
During the cooperation period, the Research Advisor shall :
Actively apply for funding for scientific research projects, ensure the steady progress of the scientific research projects, and cultivate scientific research teams.
Lead the projects and apply for funds from the NAS Research Foundation for approved research projects. The research results, patents, and other intellectual property rights are attributed to all participating authors of the research project. Both parties shall, within five years after the expiry of the agreement, keep the results and materials and all related data confidential, and shall bear legal responsibilities should there be any infringement or disclosure.
Must inform NAS of any commercial, political or other types of activities that may pose as conflicts to the interests of NAS and the scientific rigor of the projects.
During the period of cooperation, the Research Advisor shall ensure that his/her behavior meets the highest standards of professional conduct and scientific integrity, and complies with all applicable laws and regulations including NAS's rules and regulations under NAS's leadership and management.
Shall apply for funding for research project, subjected to the approval of NAS’s Research Foundation. If the results of the research projects are to be presented as a paper, the Research Advisor will complete the final paper, and take charge of language-editing, proofreading, formatting, and ensure that the paper will be published in journals indexed by SCI, SSCI, EI and other international first-class databases.
Participate in academic conferences in his/her research specializations as representatives of NAS. Should NAS organize and hold an academic conference or other activities, the Research Advisor shall also strive to participate and provide support for said event. NAS shall cover the resulting costs for the conferences, including registration fees, catering expanses, transportation expenses and accommodation expenses etc. NAS will also be obliged to provide a subsidy to the Research Advisor for important meetings or activities.
The objectives of the parties to the agreement is to hold at least one seminar per year. The purpose of such meetings would be to summarize the combined contributions of the Research Advisor and other researchers, discuss best practices, and determine the direction for the next step.
By signing the agreement, the Research Advisor agrees to display his/her name, photos, experiences and academic results here and promotional print materials and guarantees that all the information provided as per the signed agreement to be true and accurate.
