Research objectives:

The aim of this research project is to use rigorous qualitative methods to examine how education faces today’s global challenges—digital change, climate disruption, and post‑pandemic gaps—with a focus on equity and innovation. By applying phenomenology, narrative inquiry, ethnography, case studies, and grounded theory, it explores the lived experiences of educators and learners to reveal systemic inequities and inform inclusive policies. It also highlights innovative tools such as AI‑assisted coding and virtual ethnography to improve research on disrupted learning environments. Bridging theory and practice, the issue turns findings into actionable strategies for inclusion, sustainability, and educational innovation, while encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue to build a responsive scholarly community for a more equitable and resilient education system.

Subtopics:

  1. EquityFocused Phenomenology: Understanding Marginalized Learners’ Lived Experiences in Digital and PostPandemic Contexts

This sub-topic explores how marginalized students perceive and navigate educational inequities in digital and post-pandemic learning environments through phenomenological methods.

  1. Narrative and Ethnography in STEM Education Reform: Teachers’ and Students’ Voices on Inclusion and Sustainability

Focusing on STEM education, this sub-topic uses narrative and ethnographic approaches to document the voices of teachers and students advocating for inclusive and sustainable learning practices.

  1. Innovative Qualitative Approaches and Digital Tools for Analyzing Complex Learning Environments Under Global Disruption

This sub-topic investigates how emerging digital tools and innovative qualitative methods (e.g., AI-assisted coding, virtual ethnography) can enhance the study of learning environments affected by global disruptions.
