Academic Lead:
Co-academic leads:
Deadline:
December 31, 2026
Research objectives:

Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is a complex and multifaceted specialty that encompasses a wide range of disorders affecting the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck regions. In recent years, significant advances in precision medicine, immunotherapy, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, and minimally invasive surgical techniques have opened new frontiers for innovation. However, effectively translating these scientific discoveries into clinical practice remains a major challenge. This project aims to bridge the gap between basic research, technological innovation, and clinical application through strong multidisciplinary collaboration, with the ultimate goal of improving diagnosis, treatment outcomes, and quality of life for patients with head and neck disorders.

Subtopics:

  1. Precision Medicine and Biomarker-Driven Personalized Therapy in Head and Neck Diseases(Precision medicine and biomarker-driven personalized treatment for head and neck diseases)
  2. Immunotherapy and Immune Modulation Strategies for Head and Neck Oncology(Immunotherapy and immune modulation strategies in head and neck oncology)
  3. Innovative Minimally Invasive and Robotic Techniques in Head and Neck Surgery(Innovation and application of minimally invasive and robotic techniques in head and neck surgery)
  4. Mucosal Immunity and Immunotherapeutic Approaches in Upper Airway Disorders(Mucosal immunity and immunotherapeutic approaches in upper airway disorders)
  5. Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in Diagnosis and Surgical Navigation(Application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in diagnosis and surgical navigation)
  6. Functional Restoration and Quality of Life Improvement after Head and Neck Surgery(Functional reconstruction and quality of life improvement following head and neck surgery)

Keywords:

  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration
  • Translational Research
  • Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
  • Precision Medicine
  • Immunotherapy
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery

Expected Outcomes:

Academic: Peer-reviewed publications

Promotion: Gaining exposure across multiple social media platforms and sharing information on cutting-edge topics

Project Expectations:
  1. Establish efficient pathways for translating basic research findings into clinical practice and build an international multicenter collaborative network;
  2. Advance the integration of immunotherapy and immune modulation into routine head and neck surgical practice;
  3. Develop novel minimally invasive and precision surgical techniques that improve patient outcomes and reduce complications;
